Sybil Ludington - American Hero

Sybil Ludington was a simple colonial woman living just outside of New York in 1776 during the American Revolution in rural Dutchess county. She was the eldest child of commander Henry Ludington. Sybil’s father belonged to the Dutchess County militia.
